Password Protection

We’re serious about security.
Minerva is designed so that only the people you want to view your health information can do so. With Minerva, there are several layers of protection that starts when you specify how users can access your installation of the software. For example, your spouse, parents and children can each have their own login ID and password to gain access to Minerva, or you can use one login ID and password for the whole family. And since Minerva stores your personal health records on your computer - not on the Internet - you will not have the typical concerns associated with online medical records. Additionally, certain portable medical record files that you export to your Minerva Flash Drive can be password protected such that your complete health records can be accessed only with your password, while permitting access your Emergency Health Records by anyone, especially emergency responders.

Password Protection controls access to personal health records stored on your computer
and portable medical records stored on the Minerva Flash Drive

While Minerva employs login ID and password controls to limit access to your Family Health Information stored on your personal computer, Minerva uses extra levels of security for your portable medical records exported to your Minerva Flash Drive. Personal Health Records are encrypted and you have the choice to also encrypt any or all of your attachments. And if you want to jumpstart a new Minerva installation for one of your relatives, the Import/Export Personal Identification Number (PIN) provides another level of security by limiting access to your portable medical records on the Flash Drive. Need more details about password protection? The extensive Minerva Help System is provided to resolve any question that you may have.
