Safety and Privacy

1. Will my health records be safe with Minerva Health Manager? Your health information is stored on your computer in a secured database that is accessed only through the Minerva program using a login ID and password. Beyond this, you should follow general computer security precautions to safeguard your health information and other information stored on your computer. Frequent backups of the “Health Database” are also strongly recommended, since a computer hard drive crash could prevent access to your entered health information.

2. Are my health records stored on the Internet? No, your health records are stored on your computer, typically located in the 'All Users\Documents\Minerva Health Manager' folder.

3. Will my employer or health insurance provider be able to access my Minerva Health Manager on my computer? No, not unless you give them access to your computer and provide them with your login ID and password.

4. Who will have access to my health records? Only those you want to have access. Access to the software on your computer is available only to those people you want to set-up with a login ID and password. Access to Personal Health Records you export to your Minerva Flash Drive is also only available to those you provide with a password. However, your Emergency Health Records, stored on the Minerva Flash Drive, can be accessed without a password. This is very important as it will allow quick access to someone responding to an emergency.

5. How secure is the information on my credit card when I purchase Minerva Health Manager? Minerva Health Manager uses a leading provider of payment gateway services to process all credit card transactions. Their business is protecting your credit card information. Minerva Health Manager never has access to your credit card information. All transaction documentation provided to us by our gateway indicates only the last 4 digits of your credit card.
